PARIS. Feb. By The Associated Press. "Certainly, I said it."
declared Brig. Gen. Charles G. Dawes, American member of the first committee of experts, which has been investigating into Germany's financial and economic situation, to The Associated Press tonight. "I repeat it: If the French were not in the Ruhr we experts would not be here."
General Dawes had been asked by the correspondent if he was the expert to whom Premier Poincare referred in addressing the chamber of Deputies yesterday when the premier said that one of the experts recently told a French colleague, "We should have been unable to reach our present results were you not in the Ruhr."
