We regret to learn that violence has already been committed by the Cherokees within our limits. Dr. John Bruster, late Surveyor General of the State, has fallen a victim to their hostility. His ferryman was killed, it is stated, a few hours previous, at the ferry, from whence they proceeded to his house. His body was pierced by four balls.
