SPANG

Several of the Spang people enjoyed the picnic dinner at the park in Hill City Sunday last.

The Chas. Dutton family drove to Balsam Sunday last.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Good are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy at their home Monday evening.

Mrs. Dora Gilson and cousin, Elfreda Helemstettar, and Helen Olson called at the Peterson home Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Walter Fleming, Charles Fleming and Mr. and Mrs. Ward left for their homes in the southern part of the state Monday.

Chas. Dutton spent the first of the week in Balsam.

Mrs. Davis entertained several of the young girls of Spang Monday afternoon in honor of her niece, Elfreda.

Those present were Misses Nina Faust, Bessie Deffler, Violet and Helen Olson and Bettie Peterson.

Olaf L. Olson visited a few days the past week at his home here.

Floyd Mickle, Dale Olson and Glen Faust left Monday afternoon for Nebraska where they expected to work in the harvest fields.

Mrs. Harold McDonald and children left Tuesday for their home at Barron, Wis. They went by way of Duluth where they would be over night guests of Mrs. McDonald's sister, Mrs. Lloyd Clarreau.

Helen Arnold returned the past week from Minneapolis where she had visited for a month with relatives. En route home she was a guest of relatives at Aitkin.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dutton visited over the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dutton.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ramey and children spent the Fourth with relatives near Swatara.

Several ladies from Spang attended the parcel shower given for Miss Bernice Averill at the Wilson home on West street Wednesday afternoon.

The Arthur and Ernest Foix families drove to the Pete Hill home at Wendigo to meet the new niece and cousin, Shirley Rose, who arrived July 1 at the Pete Hill home.

Most of the Spang residents spent the Fourth in Hill City.

Mrs. Ed Peterson is spending two weeks at the Pete Hill home in Wendigo.
