At Home With Financial Wizard
Frank A. Vanderlip, noted financier, was one of the heaviest winners in the recent sensational rise of Auburn auto stock above the 200 mark, but he seems far more interested in caring for one of his prized pets, a rare breed of crane, with which he is shown at his winter estate in the Palos Verdes Hills, near Los Angeles. Answering reports that he was sponsoring activity of the motor stock, Mr. Vanderlip grinned and said, "My position has been and is only that of a darn long time investor. The last stock I bought was at 105."

Vanderlip is a former president of the National City bank.
