San Diego, Jan. 30.—The people of Monserratte, in this county, is somewhat disturbed over the mysterious disappearance of Mr. Rogers, a Scotchman, about 50 years of age, who has been camping in this vicinity for about two years, was rather eccentric, and was supposed to have several thousand dollars deposited in the San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles Savings Bank. Books were found in his last camp at Monserrate. Two horses, blankets and cooking utensils were also found at the camp, but no fire had been made there since the last rain. It is thought he has been foully dealt with.
