From the Ironton Truth. An oasis of pica in a Sahara of brevier would not attract as much attention as a wet spot in a waste of sand, but if it attracts you its object is attained. We want to call your attention to the fact that the Truth is a republican paper, and that there are upwards of 700 republicans in Iron county, 400 of whom have never contributed a cent to its support. But when the paper falls short of their expectations they howl. The patrons of this paper can command it at any time. Others can not command it at all. We owe no more to the party than the party owes to us. And we shall refuse to support any man who has not thought it necessary to encourage us further than to borrow the paper and read it.
