The famous Plenty Horses murder case, which has been on trial in the United States district court at Sioux Falls the past week, came to an end yesterday by the acquittal of the defendant. The verdict of the jury was in accord with the charge of presiding Judge Shiras. One of the Sioux witnesses for the prosecution, White Moon, attempted to commit suicide yesterday by stabbing himself in the neck with a jack knife, giving as his reason for the act the attempt of the attorneys for the defense to impeach his testimony. He will recover.
