SPLENDID WORKMANSHIP.—We saw, the other day, at the jewelry establishment of Mr. Aug. Hansen, a lady's brooch, manufactured by that gentleman, from California gold, which, we think, for elegance and superiority of workmanship, would be worthy a first prize at the World's Fair. We have never seen anything of the kind to surpass it; and those who wish to ascertain the degree of perfection attained by our mountain artizans should not fail to see this chef d'oeuvre of home skill. The design of the brooch is a bunch of grapes, embedded in a nest of leaves.
