Santa Fe, March 12.—Enrique Cordoba, aged 25 years, of Taos county, was shot and killed in the depot at Rawlins, Wyo., by a Union Pacific official. Cordoba was employed on the railroad as a laborer and stepped into the depot at night to get a drink of water. For his own protection while at work on the track in the night, he carried a revolver in his hip pocket. When one of the station employees saw him, he ordered Cordoba to leave the depot. Cordoba complied with alacrity but the station employee nevertheless whipped out a revolver and killed Cordoba instantly, the bullet piercing the victim's heart. Ruben Cordoba went to Rawlins to bring home the body of his brother. Interment took place at Costilla on Saturday.
