The following from Sunday's Denver News sheds a little light on the New Castle-Meeker railroad project: "William Weston, the mining engineer, has returned from his trip along the route of the White River Valley railway, in company with J. W. Dean, general manager of the company. He stated yesterday that he will submit a favorable report to the English syndicate, and there is every probability that the road will be built. It will require several months before the financial side of the transaction is completed, and work cannot be commenced until the cash is in sight."
