TO REPAIR ROADS
IN ROWAN COUNTY
At the July meeting of the Rowan county board of commissioners a request was made that the state highway commission repair certain roads in the county.
Attorneys Price and Carlton and clerk of court B. D. McCubbins appeared before the board and asked that the clerk be relieved from charging costs in tax cases where the tax is paid when the summons is served. This matter was approved by the board and referred to the county attorney for his approval.
The county auditor was ordered to pay all costs in connection with the run-off primary last Saturday.
Announcement was made that the board has disposed of all matters pertaining to the assessed valuation of property and that further complaints in regard to taxes could not be considered.
