Performance Of
'The Velvet Glove'
Again of great interest to those
who like good plays is the forth-
coming production of "The Velvet
Glove," by Rosemary Casey to be
presented by the P-TA of Henry
McNeal Turner High School on
Monday night, March 9, 1959, at 8
p.m. in the school gymnatorium.
This delightful comedy deals with
the manner in which a resourceful
nun out-maneuvers the harsh and
worldly bishop who has ordered her
to fire a young professor in a Catholic
girls' school. This order is
given at the request of a few wealthy
members of the community,
who believe the professor to be a
communist.
The members of the cast are
Misses Eleanor Bradley, Mercedes
Hill, Marilyn Thompson and Ara
Ann Yates, Mrs. Kathryn Faye
Wright, Messrs. Boris Wilton, Aaron
Johnson, Thomas Long, Francis
Long and Homer M. Ewen. Mrs.
Georgia W. Allen is the director
of the play.
J.C. Jackson, president
J.D.F. Davis, principal
There will be an executive board
meeting in the school cafeteria on
Monday night, March 9, 1959, at 7
p.m. All committee chairmen and
officers are required to be present
and on time.
