"What it Costs to be a Christian" was the theme of Dr. Whallon at the Presbyterian church Thursday evening. It is significant that these sermons by Dr. Whallon have been growing in interest and it is certain that he has created a strong impression In Bucyrus. He will, tonight. have for his subject "What it Cost Not to be a Christian." These two sermons are companions in subject matter and full of importance to the community. The calling of the disciples was of such moment that it developed the plain statement by Jesus of the things it would be necessary to forsake in joining the band of followers, It was the purpose of Christ to have his followers understand fully just what it meant to them to join in his cause. No one could be disappointed if he knew in advance what to expect, Christianity has great values and the life is well worth while, but it was not desired that people should accept it and find the wrong things there.

Dr. Whallon will preach this evening. the services being held at 7:30 and will preach both morning and evening Sunday.

Saturday there will be a conference at Marion of those who have been associated with the simultaneous movement of Marion Presbytery and it is expected Dr. Whallon. Rev. C. E. Shields and others will attend.
