The Work Commenced

Devils Lake, Feb. 5 The Great Northern has already commenced work on the extension from Devils Lake to Aneta. Guthrie & Co. railroad contractors, are here, making arrangements to commence work on the bridge across Pelican Point, which will be 4,000 feet long. The timbers have commenced to arrive in train loads to be transferred to the lake by bob sleds. The bridge work will be rushed through before the ice goes out of the lake. A large force of men and teams will be at work in a few days. The railroad bridge will be built about 80 feet west of the wagon bridge.
