NASHVILLE, Tenn. (ANP)-- J. Robert Booker of Little Rock, Ark., was reelected recently at the 25th annual meeting of the National Bar association.
Highlights of the meeting included numerous speeches and a banquet honoring the founders of the association. The lineup of featured speakers at the three-day meeting included:
Elmer W. Henderson, executive director, American Council on Human Rights; Mrs. Anna Arnold Hedgeman, assistant to the administrator, Federal Security administration; John T. Doles, New York state commission against discrimination; J. Mercer Burrell, New Jersey; Raymond Cannon, Minneapolis, George W. Crockett, Detroit; George C. Adams, Chicago, and Euclid Louis Taylor, Chicago.
Taylor questioned the admissibility of evidence secured by the drunk-meter tests used in Chicago. Henderson, Mrs. Hedgeman, Doles, Burrell, and Cannon discussed the operation of various fair employment practices laws in various states.
Besides Booker, others elected to office were: John W. Harvey, St. Louis, 1st vice-president; John T. Doles, New York, second vice-president; E. L. Johnson, Indianapolis, Ind., third vice-president; Margaret Haywood Hawthorne, Washington, D. C., fourth vice-president.

Attending the silver anniversary dinner and dance were the following past presidents who were honored guests:
Charles W. Anderson, Louisville, Ky.; George W. Lawrence, Chicago; Thurman L. Dodson, Washington; Euclid Louis Taylor, Chicago; C. Francis Stradford, Chicago, and President Booker.
Guest speakers included Col. A. A. Walden, Atlanta, and George C. Adams, Chicago, a founder.
Resolutions passed called for more public housing, an FEPC, federal aid to education, slum clearance, elimination of segregation and bias in public places, and more Negro judges at both the federal and local levels.
The 1951 meeting of the association will be held the Thursday, Friday and Saturday preceding Labor Day in St. Louis.
