Letters from Stockholm, by this Day's French Mail, advise that the King having ordered an Account to be laid before him of the Manner in which criminal Justice was administered in that Kingdom, had learned, with Grief and Surprize, that there was existing a Place improperly called the Chamber of Roses, where Criminals were put to the Torture; in Consequence of which his Majesty gave Orders to his Chancellor of Justice to destroy this Place, as his Majesty was determined not to suffer such a Monument of Inhumanity to remain in a Country of true Liberty.
