Letter From Hoggs Falls.
Editor Herald:
A young man residing not far from Ceralvo, whose name I deem proper to suppress, has been in the habit of falling in love with every fresh face he meets. And such was the case one night last week, when all the young sters in the neighborhood were invited to attend a dance. A young man, in the neighborhood attended, representing Miss Buker; as he was elegantly dressed and his face well powdered, he attracted the attention of the young man, who insisted on having an introduction. In due time he was introduced, after which, he asked her hand for a dance, and danced two or three sets with the supposed Miss Buker. He discovered she was preparing to leave the dance, and requested the exquisite pleasure of escorting her home, which was granted. After leaving the house the young man offered his arm which was very acceptable. They were walking and had to pass through a farm, and at every fence the gallant young man would lay the rails to the ground in order that his supposed lady might get over. They got along well on a short acquaintance. After they arrived home the young man representing Miss Buker, made himself known. Just imagine his surprise when he found it was one of his neighbor boys. So great was the shock he threw himself on the floor, and lay there for some time.
We don't think he will fall in love again so soon. He vows he never will be introduced to another stranger, and just the name Buker makes him sick.
Now my young friends be careful who you fall in love with.
