An act to prevent the citizens of New York from carrying slaves, or persons held to service, out of this State, and to prevent the escape of persons charged with the commission of any crime.
An act to prevent the emancipation of slaves and other persons.
An act to make the unlawful whipping or beating of a slave an indictable offense.
Resolutions relative to the controversy between New York and Virginia, strongly sympathizing with the latter, were reported by the Committee of the Senate on Federal Relations.
