HIGH COURT of IMPEACHMENT.

PHILADELPHIA, DEC. 18.

This morning the managers on the part of the House of Representatives for conducting the impeachment of William Blount, and Messrs. Dallas and Ingersoll, as counsel for Mr. B. appeared in the Senate. On motion of Mr. Harper, chairman of the managers, on the part of the Representatives, further proceedings were postponed until Monday next.

The process was served on Mr. Blount, at his residence in Tennessee in the month of August last. But he not having appeared, the question whether the impeachment shall be conducted in his absence, will be decided upon by the House of Representatives, previous to further proceedings.
