Justice and Progress are our watchwords, and it is pleasant to know that a large and influential class think well of our endeavor to make The News the best, as it is the cheapest, daily newspaper ever published in South Carolina. The News takes off its hat to the German Fire Company, and wishes them every imaginable prosperity.
