STATE'S NEXT QUOTA WILL BE $1,880,000

Raleigh, June 4.-Plans to raise North Carolina's quota of $1,880,000 in the national war fund drive this fall got under way yesterday in Raleigh.

In the first meeting of the state war fund committee, honorary chairman Governor Broughton told the group that it was the largest undertaking in the state's history of voluntary fund raising.

Goal of the national drive is $125,000,000.

Former Governor J. C. B. Ehringhaus has been named to the committee, succeeding Herman Cone, of Greensboro, who recently resigned as treasurer.
