We were again pleased to shake hands with Cary Wilson, son of C. Wilson, down here. He is a chip off the old block, and knows how to handle his own affairs.

C. F. Weideman, a long time subscriber to the Enterprise and a good friend of the writer, was seen; and he gave us a renewal. He is the same old Charley and has many friends.

We had the pleasure of meeting J. L. Patton, merchant and farmer here, who thinks the Enterprise a good paper.

We met up with Dr. Now, some here, who said the health of Bovee was distressingly good.

D. O. Freeman, who is with W. S. Sharp, general merchandise, gave me two renewals for his paper. He has a beautiful home and his wife is quite popular.

Miss Lula Allison, daughter of J. R. Allison, gave me a renewal to the Enterprise for another year. At one time Miss Allison resided in Waxahachie, and will be remembered by her numerous friends here. She and Mrs. Allison were very courteous to the field man, and like the paper.

J. W. Morris ordered the Enterprise sent to him. He owns a tailor shop and barber establishment, and is a hustler.

Bovee is represented by all lines that go to make a good town, and is surrounded by the best land in the county. The people are very hospitable and strictly up-to-date, and one feels the better by mingling with them.

R. G. Phillips, city, heads the list of Daily Light subscribers in being the first one to give me a year's renewal to the paper. The next to follow were W. S. Sharp, Scott Vickery street, W. Bas Williams, Midlothian 2, W. F. Jones, Forreston; C. L. Pollock, Waxahachie 4, and G. W. Golladay, Forreston 2. This is encouraging. Keep the ball rolling. I hope to get many more yearly renewals and new subscribers to the Daily Light. You save a dollar in this way, and at the same time it helps the field correspondent.

J. R. Willis, Waxahachie 6, renewed with us for the Enterprise, and will keep posted on current and county news for the year.

J. M. Smith, Waxahachie 3, was here Monday of last week, exhibiting a fine 8-months' old colt, of the Brooklyn stock. The colt is about 18 hands high, dark bay and is certainly a beauty.

W. W. Mercer of Maypearl 1, was in Waxahachie recently. He reads the Enterprise.

We were pleased to meet J. R. Faulkner and S. H. Jolly at Rockett recently.

C. B. Smith, Midlothian 1, has our thanks for renewal to the Enterprise. He is a son of J. Ed Smith, now deceased, who was one of the pioneers of this county. C. B., like his father was, is full of energy and push.

J. R. and F. E. Aday, who reside four miles south of Waxahachie, were in Waxahachie recently.

R. D. Roberts, Red Oak 2, was here Monday of last week. Mr. Roberts, while killing hogs during December accidentally cut his hand with a butcher knife, and blood poison set in, and it was feared he would lose his hand, but he is now out of danger. This was his first time out since the accident.

Joe Slaughter was in the city recently. Mr. Slaughter is a jolly good fellow, and is always the central figure, when it comes to the various discussions of the hour.

J. H. Cockersham of Milford 1, made glad the field man by ordering the Enterprise sent to him.

S. P. Westmoreland, Waxahachie 3, gave us a new year's subscription to the Enterprise.

We were pleased to meet M. A. Davidson here recently. He now resides at Reed, Oklahoma. He was once an old Ellis countian, having lived in this county 32 years.

We met up with D. O. Madden, Waxahachie 7. He reads the Enterprise and sends two to his sons-in-law in other parts of the state. Mr. Madden is quite an interesting talker.

J. H. Hullett, Waxahachie 5, who lives on J. D. Carroll's farm was seen by us a few days since. He will plant a general crop this year.

R. L. Hodge, Bardwell 1, who lives near Byrd's school house, is another acquaintance. He is a very successful farmer, of his neighborhood.

J. D. Dosson, Midlothian, 6, and D. D. Hart, Waxahachie 4, were in Waxahachie lately.

J. C. Penny of Ray and Jno. T. Blake are new friends of the writer.

B. F. Carpenter of this city, once publisher of the Enterprise, whom the writer learned the printer's trade, gave us a year's subscription to the paper.

W. L. Hudson, Waxahachie, 6, had us send him the Enterprise this year. He lives near Howard.

Hughes is now a member of the Enterprise family. Also I. W. Roden.

W. A. Martin, once a resident of Bovee, but now of Vernon, gave me a subscription to the Enterprise for this year. Mr. Martin is a large land owner.

D. L. Hood, Maypearl 1, has been properly entered on the Enterprise list for the paper this year.

D. W. Rhodes is another one of our new friends. He was in town recently.

J. Henry Miller, a Daily Light reader, of Coller's Chapel, was here last Friday mingling with his friends.

J. T. Deaning, of Coppell, Dallas county, once a resident of this county, was seen by the writer last Friday. He formerly lived at Avalon, about 15 years, but moved to Coppell last January. He likes his new home, but would be pleased to have his old friends live near him.

T. A. Som, Italy, a long time reader of this paper, was here last Friday. I once lived on the late Tom Yates farm and from there to the Huke farm, but like all hustlers, would not content until he owns his own home. He has a good farm now and is prosperous.

E. E. Briles, Italy 3, attended court in Waxahachie last week.

A. E. Murdock, Waxahachie 6, and W. M. Edwards are among the new readers of the Enterprise.

G. W. Ghuzziher was here Saturday. Also J. W. Hill and wife and their son, Marvin. They get their mail on Route 3, Ennis.

F. F. Farrar, of Palmer, was here last Saturday, and informed us he had put up 15 tons of alfalfa that he cut and baled in this month. He said this last cutting made the fifth one in a year. Mr. Farrar claims the distinction of being the first one to plant alfalfa in the county.

Albert Stevenson has our thanks for two renewals for his papers.

J. M. Vance and W. T. Wade are new ones to read the paper. Also Tom Gilmore, Waxahachie 7, is a new reader of the Enterprise.

We had the pleasure of meeting up with J. F. Page of Lone Cedar Saturday. We will look you up Mr. Page.

W. W. Witherspoon of Midlothian was here Saturday. He is an interesting talker, and sometime in future we will have more to say of him.
