Full Text

A few days since I was requested by a friend to visit with him, what he thought was a mineral spring, in Ogle's Prairie, about half a mile west of Kingston's Mill. I have visited the principal part of the medical springs in Virginia and North Carolina, and I feel no hesitation in stating that this is strongly possessed of medical virtue. Its chief qualities are iron and sulphur. I have also particularly compared this water with that of the spring on Canteen Creek, and I am convinced that this is considerably stronger. Indeed I feel so fully satisfied of the medicinal virtues of this Spring, that I consider it proper to communicate it to the public.
