RICHMOND HEIGHTS

All boys and girls, including many who have been ill, returned to school Monday and began hard work again after enjoying a happy, joyous Easter. Easter Parties and Easter Egg Hunts were in progress during the afternoon.

The Richmond Heights School PTA held its monthly meeting Monday night in the lunchroom. Among many other things, plans were made for the Bazaar which will be presented on the school grounds, Saturday, May 19 from 2 to 7 p.m. All kinds of rides, pop corn, hot dogs, soft drinks, dancing, etc., will be in progress. Please come.

Several members of the faculty spent the Easter Holidays out of the city. They are: Mrs. Johnny Y. Patten, Thomasville, Ga.; Miss Geneva Campbell, Avon Park; Mrs. Bernice W. Thompson, Gainesville; and Henry W. Bell, Savannah, Ga. All report enjoyable trips.

Visiting with us this week was Mr. Amos of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Amos is the brother of Mrs. Daniel (Lucy) McPhaul.

Kennedy Mumford reports a safe trip out to Cheyenne, Wyoming, and since it's very cold there, he yearns for dear ole Florida's sunshine.

The members of the Junior Red Cross made many kits of beautiful gifts for the needy and shut-ins. Congrats to them.
