In conversation with Mr. Harry Rachofsky this morning he stated that it was his intention to resume business as soon as possible. It will first be necessary to await insurance adjusters and this may consume a week or ten days, possibly longer. The remnant of stock will then be moved to some building and with new goods at the depot and in transit thrown on the market. It is possible a few new goods will be ordered but this will not be determined on until later. The lease on the present building continues two years. It will take two or three months at least to repair the damage and it will be some time in February before it will be ready for occupancy. Speaking of the fire, Mr. Rachofsky says this is the first fire in his business experience. Some 33 years ago the old firm of Rachofskys had a fire at Central City but at that time carried no insurance.
