CHINQUAPIN.

The farmers are still held back from their work on account of more rain.

Several from here attended the play at Guy Friday night and reported a fine play.

Mrs. N. E. Morgan and daughter, Bertha, visited her daughter, Mrs. Eric Earnheart, of Greenbrier Thursday.

The people met Saturday night and postponed work on the dipping vat until later on.

Allen Sims and family of Guy visited Oscar Fielder and family Sunday.

There is a good deal of talk in our community about the editor seeming to be partial or prejudiced toward the people in regard to our stock law. There have been communications sent in to him stating their opinion against the stock law, which he has jammed in one corner in very small print or thrown into the wastebasket, but we notice when there is talk favoring the stock law it is generally printed on the first page and headed with very large letters. If our editor is partial he should not be, for we are readers of the Log Cabin Democrat and would like to read both sides of the question.

We met Sunday evening and organized a singing class and also had some very good singing. Everybody remember, singing again Sunday week.

John Hartwick and family of Guy visited Charlie Weatherly and family Sunday.

John Dempsey of Greenbrier was here Sunday. March 14.
