Rev. Hoyt Wood, roll call chairman announced yesterday that the Junior Red Cross roll call is getting off to a fine beginning under the enthusiastic leadership of Miss Beulah Osborne. The following leaders have already pledged the support of their respective schools: DeEtte Crawford, West Jefferson; Louise Sutherland, Jefferson; Jewell R. Miller, Fleetwood; Minnie Haire, Nathan's Creek; Gladys Graybeal, New River; Mrs. Ron Davis, Elkland; Paul Bowers, Glendale Springs; Frank Jones, Lansing; Mattie G. Persons, Oval; L. N. Keller, Idlewild.
The materials for enrollment have been exhausted. However new supplies will be coming in right away. Other schools will be published as they enroll.
"Miss Osborne is doing a fine piece of work and I hope all of the teachers and schools will co-operate with her," Mr. Wood said.
He explained that from an educational point of view that the Junior Red Cross was one of the most important units of the work.
