THE inhabitants of the towns of Petersburg and Blandford beg leave (through the channel of your paper) to present their compliments to Captains Rogers and Turner of the Halifax companies, and thank them for that good order and discipline they observed when with them. They also desire their thanks may be given to Capt. Sherwin of the Amelia company, whose behaviour merits their highest approbation.

Persevere, Gentlemen, in a line of duty so truly laudable, and you will do essential service to your country, and be an honour to your profession, whilst the licentious and dissolute soldier is a disgrace to both.
