Sunday was our annual men's day and we were spiritually inspired throughout the day. Devotions were conducted by members of the deacon board.
Music was rendered by the Senior choir under the direction of Rev. Stanley King. Mrs. John Rivers was at the piano and Mr. Milton Bruce was the organist. Rev. A. G. Kendrick of Phoenix, Arizona was our Men's day speaker. The subject of his sermon, "The duty of the Layman." St. Matthew 20: 1-16.
The afternoon program was well attended. Rev. Kendrick delivered the sermon, "What Is Man?" Psalms 8:3-9. Mr. Bruce was singled out to receive an appreciation award, because he has given his talents unselfishly and well deserves the honor.
"Thy Will Be Done" was the subject of Rev. King's radio message presented over station WMIN at 6:00. Singing was by the radio choir.
We send get well wishes to Mrs. Eddie Lloyd who is confined to Glenwood Hills Hospital. Mrs. Beatrice King, mother of Mrs. Lloyd and Rev. King arrived in the city Saturday to be at her daughter's bedside.
