SNOW STORM.—Snow commenced falling about 1 o'clock last night, and continued to descend with but slight intermissions, until about two o'clock this evening. The ground, when the storm commenced was hard and dry, as well to do young folks think in excellent condition to receive the snow, and consequently the sleighing is excellent. The jingling bells resounded merrily through the streets to-day, to those who had comfortable homes, cellars filled with fuel, and larders plentifully supplied, but too drearily and, unhappily to the poor and destitute; and this last portion of our population we should not fail to remember are now numerous, and ought not to be forgotten in this the merry making season.
