On Friday night, April 18, the O'Neill High school debating team meets the Valentine team for the championship of this district. The question to be discussed is "Resolved That American cities should adopt a commission form of government." Fay McClellond, Clare Van Metre and Spray Gardner of Valentine uphold the affirmative, and Hazel Bell, Benj. Rodenwold and Julius Cronin of O'Neill the negative. Valentine has already won from Atkinson and the O'Neill team from Ainsworth, and the debate on the 18th promises to be a hard fought, decisive struggle to settle the matter whether or not O'Neill shall keep the championship of this district a second year. Valentine, primed and loaded, is coming down some sixty strong in "Rooters." Atkinson and Ainsworth visitors are also expected. We ask the citizens of the town to turn out and help their high school win from Valentine. The high school has faith in their team and will back them with some lively rooting.
