Full Text

Meteorological.—On Thursday evening last, occurred another of those wonderful electrical phenomena which have of late been displayed quite frequently in the heavens. At about two o'clock, the sky appeared of a copper red, as if a thousand cities in conflagration, were reflecting from its blue vault the glare of their destruction. The light was so great for a few moments as to dim and extinguish that of the stars, except a few of the brightest. The electricity of the atmosphere which usually finds a regulator in thunder storms, for its "demand and supply," appears this year, to have the same thing performed by the Aurora Borealis.
