Letters from Algiers of the 7th Inst. say, that for some Time past there has been Mutinies amongst the Moors, Tributaries to that Republick; that the Regency had sent Troops against them, in order to subdue them, but as yet they have not met with Success. These Moors are suspected of keeping a Correspondence with those inhabiting in the Neighbourhood of Oran, who are at Peace with the King of Spain, at which the Government of Algiers is very much perplexed, lest his Catholic Majesty Should lay hold of this Opportunity to undertake something against their Republick.

Those Letters add, that the Corsair Cheriff Ris came back to that Porte the 1st of August with Two Ships he had taken, viz. the King David, belonging to Lubeck, and the St. James, a Norwegian Vessel.
