A caucus of Republican members of the Virginia Legislature was held in the capitol at Richmond on the presidential question. No particular candidate was recommended, but a majority favor Mr. Crawford. Resolutions were adopted approving political sentiments from a New York Republican meeting on April 22, 1823, recommending Republican members of Congress procure nominations for President and Vice President, and directing publication of proceedings signed by Chairman LINN BANKS and Secretary WM.
