CHRISTMAS.
Christmas Is coming! Yes, the merry holidays will soon be here, and how many pleasures will wait upon the coming of old "Santa Claus!" The theme of Christmas is not worn--it never will be while the human heart loves mirth. Even the old man who totters to his seat in the corner, and the old lady with hair white with time, love the coming of Christmas. It takes them back to life's green spring--to morning's rosy star--to the good old times--the sweet days of yore. Then we wonder not with what pleasure little boys and girls, and big boys and girls, too, look forward with so much pleasure to the coming of Christmas. Let each of us old folks gather up childhood's dazzling dreams--youth's golden visions and scatter them along with the pleasures of the young during the coming holidays. Let us remember the heart that sings never grows old.
Merry, merry Christmas,
Fill each heart with joy,
Merry, merry Christmas,
To each girl and boy!
Merry, merry Christmas,
Better gifts than gold,
Merry, merry Christmas,
To the young and old!
Merry, merry Christmas,
May the coming year
Bring us merry a Christmas,
And as bright a cheer!
