Extract of a letter from Liverpool, Jan. 1.

This morning advice was received here, that the Telemachus, Capt. AH, and the Ulysses, Captain Briggs, both privateers belonging to this place, while on a cruise, in consort, on the 24th ult. in lat. 35, and long. 30, west, fell in with a Spanish frigate from the south seas, which had been out three years. She is pierced for 26 guns, on her main deck, had 170 men, and is 600 tons burthen; they have carried her into Crookhaven, and she is said to be worth near a million. The privateers belong to Mr. Baker and his son in law, whose ship, the Mentor, took the Carnatic French East Indiaman.
