Epworth League Anniversary Is
Observed in Methodist Churches
The Rev. Frederick C. Mooney, pastor of the Union Street Methodist Episcopal Church, preached yesterday at the anniversary of the Epworth League, which was observed in Methodist churches. After saying the league is a vast army of Christian youth, he said:
"The world expects the very most of Christian youth organized. With divine fellowship and support, although humanly alone, great things are possible. Companies of consecrated and spirit-filled youth established in almost every community, associated into a nation-wide, a world-wide organization co-operating to the same divine end, have possibilities absolutely limitless. You represent youth, Christian youth, trained and organized into the greatest world-wide body of Christian young people united by common methods and ideals, and animated by a single purpose, known in all history."
