Full Text

We notice arrangements are being made in different sections of the country for the celebration of the 4th of July. We think it would be a good idea for the citizens of this place to enter into some arrangement for the observing of the day without being obliged to go to some other place for that purpose. Cannot some of the public-spirited individuals get up an excitement on the subject. The time is not far off, and it will be necessary to move in the matter soon if anything is done. By the by, we believe the 4th of July comes on the 5th this year, but we suppose that will not make much difference.
