QUARLES KILLS WIFE, STEP-SON THEN HIMSELF

HOUSTON, Texas, Jan. 24 (P)-B. T. Quarles, 45, a civil engineer, his wife, Mrs. Sally Belle Quarles, 30, and his 14 year old step-son, George O'Donnell, were found shot to death in their home here tonight.

The bodies were discovered by D. H. Tucker, assistant civil service commissioner for the city, who roomed at the Quarles home.

Near Quarles' body officers found a revolver, with four bullets discharged. Coroner Campbell Overstreet, after an investigation, gave verdict of double murder and suicide. He said Quarles had shot his wife and step-son to death and then ended his own life with the same weapon.
