KEEP HIM IN CHECK.

Cotton has been recrowned king.

The way to keep him crowned is to keep him in subjection to the people and this can only be done by intelligent co-operation on the part of the people—the farmers, the bankers and the other business men. The bankers of the south must continue to say to the farmers, "We are with you on intelligent marketing and will loan you money at a low rate of interest."

And the merchant must [say]: "We will also stay with you on the proposition if you will keep the acreage cut down and raise plenty of feedstuffs, stock and poultry," and the farmer must do this.—Sherman Democrat.
