The National Grange at Harrisburg, Pa., last week selected Oregon as the site for its seventy-second annual convention next year.
This action followed the election of officers. National Master Louis J. Taber, of Columbia, Ohio, will be retained in his post for the next two years. Taber has served for fourteen years as master of the farm fraternity. He said:
"I shall dedicate the coming administration to the oldest fight of the Grange, that of equality for agriculture, protection for the average citizen and the family-sized farm, for the cause of world peace. To bring about these results I offer the word organization and service. A million Granger members by 1940 shall be my goal in helping to attain these points."
The National Grange conferred its highest order, the Seventh Degree, on approximately 7000 men and women at Zembo Mosque, Harrisburg.
