Up A handsome Prize!—A half ticket in the Connecticut Lottery, No 9. for 1831, drawn on the 5th inst. having on it the combination numbers 17, 35, 40, &c. entitled to the handsome Prize of $3000 dollars! was sold at COOK'S Office on the 7th, to a gentleman from Virginia. Having mentioned to this gentleman that one half ticket in this Lottery, remained unsold, & the drawing expected the next day, he directed it to be laid by for him, without taking the numbers, or the name of the Lottery, and on his calling the next evening I had the satisfaction of communicating the pleasing intelligence that his No. had drawn the above Prize, and handing him the ticket.
