Full Text

From an Augusta Paper.

The following was composed in consequence of an
advertisement published some time since in one
of the Augusta's papers. signed John Burrow
forewarning all persons from harboring his wife
the having eloped from his bed and board.

Since Jacobin Jackson. by dint of corruption,
Annull'd our faith in the conjugal knot,
Like Eastern Bashaws. we may now at our option
Pick & choose a sweeter lace, without underplot.

Deign, father of nation-rent political harrow,
To give one more proof of your anecdotte force,
By freeing the fair one', now link'd to a Burrow,
With that all healing cordial, call'd a divorce.
