To Run Travers Minus Bimelech and Manhasset

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., Aug. 17--(UP)--The field for the 71st running of the historic Travers Stakes, oldest horse race in the nation, was reduced to seven today when E.R. Bradley's Bimelech, leading contender for three-year-old honors and overnight favorite for the event, and Manisset stable's Call to Colors were withdrawn.

The public then installed Mr. G.D. Widener's Your Chance, Keenland Stakes winner, favorite over Belair Stud's Fenelon, Greentree stable's Century Note, Glen Riddle Farm's The Finest, J.H. Whitney's Gramps and the Wheatley stable entry of Snow Ridge and Asp.

The Travers, inaugurated in 1864, will be worth about $22,000 to the winner.
