Full Text
A peculiar accident occurred on the Burlington road lately. A stock train was rushed from Rulo, Neb., to Kansas City, Missouri, on fast time. On the way, one of the bolts on the door of one of the cars, came off and the door slid back. Several fat steers were rolled out by the lurching of the train, and the accident was not discovered until the train reached the destination, when several steers were found running amuck. A singular feature in that six steers were found along the line of road traveled which had been thrown out of the car moving at the rate of forty miles an hour and not one of them was injured.
