FORMER LEXINGTONIAN IS LODGED IN JAIL

Frank J. Smith, a former drug store clerk of Lexington, was lodged in jail Tuesday night on the charge of obtaining money by false pretense. The warrant holding Smith was issued in New Brookland three months ago, but he was not apprehended until yesterday when he, it is alleged, acted in a peculiar manner in the neighborhood of Sunny South school house.

Citizens of that community held Smith until Sheriff H. Cromer Oswald arrived there for him late last night. It is not known whether additional warrants will be issued for him or not.
