ANOTHER BANK FOR LIBERAL.
Charter Granted to Third Institution--People's State Bank.

Liberal, Kan., Dec. 30.--Liberal is to have a third bank. A charter has been issued to the People's State bank, upon request of about twenty capitalists and citizens of Liberal and vicinity.

There had been talk of a bank for some time, but not until lately had the movement gained any particular headway. At this time the promoters are not suffering themselves to be interviewed, but it is expected that an organization will be perfected some time early in the year.

Six years ago there were three banks in Liberal, but only for a few months, when the Security State bank sold out.
