Large Amount Of Gold From Mexico

The total production of gold in Mexico, during the year 1917, according to figures of the metals section, bureau of special taxes, department of finance, just released, amounted to 22,463.6867 kilograms, with a value of 29,951,507.82 pesos. The figures are contained in a Trans agency bulletin from Mexico City.

During the year, 22,767.2145 kilograms of gold were minted with a value of 30,356,210.04 pesos, and 202.1511 kilograms, with a value of 269,534.13 pesos were reminted.

Silver production in Mexico during the year 1927, according to figures just released by the metals section, bureau of special taxes, department of finance, amounted to 3,247,664.269 kilograms, with a value of 123,947,223.29 pesos.

During the year, 61,595.196 kilograms of silver were reminted, with an intrinsic value of 2,373,183.60 pesos, and a currency value of 5,132,727.67 pesos.

According to figures just released by the metals section, bureau of special taxes, department of finance, the total of taxes collected on metals production in 1927 amounted to 11,629,067.12 pesos.
