LEVEE DISTRICTS ASK COMMISSION FOR REPAIR AID
Body Hears Arguments and Adjourns to Work on Annual Congressional Report
St. Louis, Mo., June 13.—The Mississippi River Commission heard arguments, today, as to what the levee districts from northern Missouri to New Orleans need to repair the damage done by the flood this year, and to prevent a repetition of the devastation.

Although the Commission has no funds it expects soon to receive $2,500,000 from Congress.

The Commission is in session, preparing its annual report, and decided to hear delegates from the flooded districts, now that appropriations are to be made as soon as the money is received. No decision will be announced until the funds are ready for distribution.

The Commission will continue its work on the report tomorrow.
