NEW ORLEANS (AP)
According to group spokesman I. Spinks, the Crescent City Country Club group has a deal which enables them to buy the palatial estate of Pierre D'Antoni, Novellett, La., just 1 mile below New Orleans on the west.
They plan to convert it into a country club. Spokesman went to Pass Christian, Miss., to close the deal with D'Antoni. Also in the group were O.W. Taylor, vice-president; Robert VanHook, secretary; John B. Guess, treasurer; Walter Barker, and Dave Wilkerson.
The estate is called River Bend and consists of 137 acres of ground facing the Mississippi River. Already on the grounds are a palatial two-story residence, a glass-enclosed swimming pool, two guest houses, a recreation unit, picnic
